what is filter press

Filter press is divided into plate and frame filter press, chamber filter press, membrane filter press and other types.

Filter press is a kind of filtration equipment with intermittent pressurized, and is used for solid-liquid separation of suspension. It is replies on the compacting device to press the filter plate, and suspension is sent into filter chamber by pump, and through the filter cloth to achieve the purpose of separation of solid and liquid. Filter press is featured by simple structure, convenient operation, effective separation, and has wide application.

During work, the pressure plate is pushed by the compacting system to press the filter plate and filter cloth between the pressure plate and thrust plate, and the chamber is formed between the pressed filter plate. The material pressed by feed pump enters each chamber from the feed inlet of thrust plate, the solid be trapped in the filter chamber and the filter cake be formed, the liquid is discharged from the water outlet passed through the filter cake and filter cloth.

The specification of filter press: series of 320, 450 ,630, 800, 1000, 1250, 1500, 2000 types and other unconventionality filter press.

The material of filter press: stainless steel, cast iron, rubber, FRPP, high-temperature resistance glass-fiber, pp-30elastomeric membrane plate.

The mode of liquid discharge: open-delivery, closed delivery, washable, non-washable, feeding from the corner, feeding from the middle, feeding from the top. Open delivery means that the filtrate is discharged from the outlet of each filter plate directly, and closed delivery refers to the filtrate of each plate is merged and discharged from the outlet path.

The compacting method of filter plate: manually screw compacting, electric mechanical compacting, hydrocylinder compacting.
